Here I am going to Start a new series “SQL Server Always On Availability group Configuration” . This series will complete in 6 Parts. For SQL Server Always On Configuration, we will going to use : SQL Server 2017 Developer Edition and Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard Edition.

Steps to configure SQL Server Always On Availability group are:
1) Create VM Servers:
2) Install Active Directory Domain Services in Windows server 2012 R2:
3) Join Both nodes to Domain, Enable .Net framework 3.5, Failover Clustering Features and Application Server Role.
4) Install SQL Server 2017 & SSMS:
5) Failover Cluster Validation and Cluster Creation:
6) Then finally Configure SQL Server 2017 Always On Availability Groups:

So in this 1st video we have explained “How to create VM Machine” and create nodes for Always On configuration.
Steps are:
i) Create Virtual Machine node.
ii) Verify Machine Settings and change the few settings.
iii) Install Windows Server 2012 R2.
iv) Install Guest Addition
v) Change Computer Name as meaningful name.
vi)Turn off User Access Control (UAC)
vii) Disable Firewall
viii) Configure IP’s
